Not every 0xc0000409 produces a crash log, but when I open the dmp file in WinDbg it returns: Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available) I'm not terribly skilled at looking at application dmps, system ones are usually a little easier to find the source problem. Problem description: IE continues to crash on several websites, KBB.com for example. Event viewer says faulting module is MSHTML.dllI quickly discovered that these problems were occurring only on systems that were running IE 11.0.43 (KB4021558):IE 11 info on servers and workstations WITH problem:Version: 11.0.9600.18697Update Versions: 11.0.43 (KB4021558)IE 11 info on servers and workstatoins WITHOUT problem:Version 11.0.9600.18665Update Versions: 11.0.42 (KB4018271)I attempted to simply uninstall KB4018271 but this was made difficult because we do not use WSUS for updates, instead we use Manage Engine's Desktop Central. I recently had a customer with a dead IE11. You try and open it and it would save the page as htm. Open with no Addons and it would start but try and go anywhere and it would crash. Internet option from control panel was inaccessible.

I tried IE reset scripts, re-registered dlls, sfc scans but it was utterly screwed, even system restores wouldn't touch it.In the end I was able to fix it by removing IE11 from 'control panel / programs n features / turn windows features on /off' (you can't do anything from the updates, that failed too). So Windows went back to IE8 which actually ran ok. Did a PC restart, downloaded IE11 and reinstalled and it's been fine since.
